Supplemental Conditions of Contest (SCoC)

Bridge is a game of strategy that sharpens the mind, builds resilience, demands intellectual rigor, fosters powerful communication, and nurtures a relentless pursuit of victory. These very qualities make Bridge a natural fit for HCL’s ethos.

Since 2003, HCL has been a proud patron of the sport in India, hosting the annual HCL International Bridge Championship in New Delhi. Over the years, the tournament has become the country’s premier bridge event, distinguished for its scale, participation, and prize purse. The 2024 edition featured a record prize fund of ₹27 million (USD 310,000) and drew more than 1,000 players across 185 teams. The Championship has consistently attracted top talent from India and around the globe, with international participation from the USA, Poland, Italy, Bulgaria, Russia, the Netherlands, Israel, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, South Africa, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Croatia, Denmark, Romania, Japan, Thailand, Jordan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The 22nd HCL International Bridge Championship will be held from October 6th to 14th, 2025, at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, New Delhi. With prize money of ₹27 million (USD 310,000), one of the highest among bridge tournaments worldwide, the Championship will feature the following events:

  • Team of Four (Gold) – Winners awarded the Naresh Tandan Trophy
  • Team of Four (Silver) – Winners awarded the Mohini Tandan Trophy
  • Open Pairs – Winners awarded the Neena Bonarji Trophy
  • IMP Pairs
